Where might I find a stand for my bike to use as stationary,for exercise inside my home.Live in Vancouver BC? There are a few different types of indoor bike trainers, but they all share one thing in common-they raise the back wheel off of the ground and provide resistance when you pedal. They are commonly referred to as "Wind Trainers" because some use a fan type mechanism to create the resistance. Others are magnetic or even fluid. The ultimate indoor trainer is called a Computrainer which you hook up to a computer. The computer varies the amount of resistance to the back wheel based on the terrain that you are riding. I forgot to mention that you get to "see" where you're going on the monitor or even a television tied into the computer! I would either recommend a fluid trainer or a computrainer if you can afford it. Good luck. Go to the bike store and ask trainer.It was hook up to your back tire and that way you can pedal and you can shift the gear you like as long as you watch you tv channel.It is very good during wintertime Try doing a web search for cycle-ops trainers. |
