If you can, try www.craigslist.com (it's usually used, but of better quality) or www.Ebay.com or your LBS (local bike shop) or www.froogle.com (it compares prices) www.performancebike.com www.bikenashbar.com Another option is getting rollers. It's a bit tougher (because you have to balance), but 30 minutes on the rollers is like 1 hour on the streets. Sports Authority Yes, there are residtance trainers. There are many different kinds and many price ranges. Fluid, magnetic and wind resistance. I have one that uses centrifugal force and it works great.
