Whats the thing called that makes a regular bike into a stationary?

I think you are referring to a trainer. These attach to your rear wheel and provide resistance as you pedal. There are many brands and models out there. Do a quick internet search for bike trainer and you will see. You can also get them on-line or from your local bike store. Depending on your local shop, they may even have some set-up that you can try. Expect to pay anywhere from 100-500 dollars, but most are in the 200-300 range.

They are called trainers. I have a Cyclops brand. You can find them at your local bike shop, or if you have a sporting goods store around (Dicks) they probably have them. You can get a mid level one for about $150.
