I bought a new exercise Bike , i need your tips? |
this is my very first time to use a stationary bike ( the resistance is be adjusted manually) ,i need to know what is your program for the bike workouts i.e for how long ( minutes) , the resistance level and the speed . EXERCISE BIKE EXPERTS PLEASE HELP ME Sprints will be muscle strength Distance (time) will build cardio strength, cardio health, and muscle endurance. A good workout would be: Light resistance for 20 minutes followed by 5 minutes of max resistance. Medium resistance for 10 minutes, light resistance 10 minutes, medium resistance for 10 minutes. What you do not want to do is to do the same routine all the time because the muscles will get smart and know what work they will do. Mix it up, and you should do like 2 days cardio, 1 day strength (sprints) 1 day off, then a new schedule. Speed: Light Resistance: 8 to 12 mph Medium Resistance: 12 to 18 mph Heavy Resistance: 20 to 24 mph Source(s): Master Fitness Instructor, IFPA I usually find it's easiest to start off by placing it near the closet...or near the master bathroom since within 3 months it will mainly function as a clothes rack. Just remember to clean all the dust off of it before listing it for 25% of retail on Craigslist. Don't bother thanking me the 10 points will be thanks enough. I'd personally say do sprints.....where you would do 2 minutes or so easy then 1 minute fast....or 4 easy 1 fast......if you want a good work out bike sprints are great....beats the just sittin on it and going as a leisurely pace but if you do want to do that keep track of how fast you go and the difficutly you have it set to so you can keep track where you improve |
