How much should i bike after i lift weights?? |
i have been working out 3x a week. I first lift weights intensly and then run for about 2 miles. I have been told that to gain more muscle mass, I need to do a bit less cardio. So, I was thinking about getting back on the stationary bike downstairs. So, after i lift weights, how long and fast should I go? How many miles? How fast? Will that allow me to still get oxygen to my muscles and also lose fat while NOT breaking into catabolism muscle breakdown? I would prefer to still work out 3x a week, but what do you all think?? Personal trainers and people who have done this and compared would be appreciated. Please compare and contrast the results that you think would appear. IF YOU WANT TO save some time and combine the cardio and weights , you can do super sets, the way it works is you pretty much don't take a break for 45min >1 hour just switch between your muscle groups :ie. ( ( 1 set bench 1 set lat pull down)do 3 - 4 set ) (( 1 set curls ,1 set tricep extensions) do 3-4 sets ) you get the idea ....................... give that a try for 3 months ........ call back and thank me for the advice!!!(YOU WILL GET RESULTS ) ITS HARD AS HELL though!!!! if not .. after a good workout nice 20 >30 min jog wouldn't hurt or the BIKE wouldn't be a bad idea, after a while you will find out what's the right combination of cardio and weight works best for your body !!!! GOOD LUCK & REMEMBER IT TAKES HARD WORK!! Source(s): "SUPER SETS", THE ONLY BREAKS YOU TAKE IS FOR WATER, getting to and from exercise, OR TO CATCH YOUR BREATH!!!! |
