What are the pedals on stationary bikes called that are kind of formed.?

they loosely hold your foot so it doesn't slip off. kind of like an open at the back shoe

They are called platform pedals. Most of these have 1/2" axles, so if you're looking for replacements that's likely what you'll need. Source(s): 26 years in the industry
