How many miles should I ride the bike every day??



I joined a gym and am trying to lose weight (20 lbs)
They have stationary bikes there, and I was wondering how many miles per day I should ride to have a good workout??This is my first week and I have been going 1-2 per day and doing weight training

you should rally ride about 4-6 mile a day if you want to lose weight
Don't worry about miles, particularly on a stationary bike. Plan your workouts in terms of time and effort. If you're looking to lose weight, you want longer workouts at a relatively easy pace. At least an hour at around 70% maximum heart rate is what it takes to really get your body burning fat. Riding hard for short durations will make you stronger, but your body will be running on carbohydrates and you won't lose any weight.
