Answer [[plz]]?

Ok, well I'm 15, female 5'5", 161 and I have an hourglass figure... I was wondering if I can lose weight using a stationary bike alone?
I exercise on the bike 2 hours a day, would that be enough, about how much would i lose. Walking/Running on the treadmill isn't enjoyable for me.

Riding a bike is great for weight loss. Any kind of aerobic exercise will burn fat. It's important to do what you enjoy doing, so you will stay with it long enough to make a difference in your body size. It's also very important to do your workouts often. For example, It would do well to ride the bike for an hour every day instead of riding two hours once a week. It's better to do it often throughout the week for great results.

I can't tell you how much you will lose because I don't know how much you are eating. The bottom line, is calories in and calories out. It takes 3,500 calories to gain a pound, and it takes burning 3,500 calories to loose a pound.
You have an hourglass figure.. Why would you wanna lose weight?

:P
try doing other workouts or ask a personal trainer id you can
yeah but u should try an 1hour and then do another hour of some other exercises and make sure u include a healthy diet!
The bike will work, just make sure you add a healthy diet and you could loose up to 5 pounds for the first week, then more like 3 a week after that, so 20 - 25 pounds in a month.
it will help, but if u wanna build muscle you also have to do some strength training.
Every little bit of exercise you do will help keep you in shape, and things like stationary bikes are good because you can increase you heart rate and then maintain it at the higher level. So for a basic answer, yes, you could.

The amount of weight you would lose depends on more factors than just exercise. When you are trying to lose weight you have to think about balances, not just how much you eat or how much you exercise, but the balance of the two together. When you lose weight your body burns more calories than you take in. This is why diet and exercise combined is important (not just one or the other).

You can find information on a lot of websites about how many calories are burned by different activities. The amounts are usually listed only once, even though people of different body max indexes burn different amounts of calories doing the same thing. The numbers are usually for a person of average height that weighs around 120lbs (so your amounts burned are going to be a little higher for the same amount of time).

Try keeping a chart of what you eat and your exercise habits and see where you balance out. This will help you figure out how much you will lose. Remember that a person burns between 800 and 1000 calories on an average day without doing any thing special (just walking around and doing everyday tasks)
