Exercise Question?

I've changed my exercise routine 4 weeks ago and have seen no results. The scale just hasn't budged! I went from using a stationary bike to an elliptical. It's definitely a better workout as I wouldn't come close to breaking a sweat on the bike. Maybe I should up my exercise from 40 minutes a day to 60 minutes?

What sort of results are you looking for?

If you're looking to lose weight, your intake of calories may be the culprit. You need to make sure you're not eating more food to compensate for the extra energy expenditure. Or, conversely, you should also not be cutting calories so much that your body goes into starvation mode and slows down your metabolism. The best way to figure out how much food you need to be eating is to get your basal metabolic rate calculated by a professional.

If you're looking for an increase in muscle mass, you might want to couple the cardio with some resistance exercises such as using free weights.
Watch what you eat, too.
eating and you are maybe stressing.
... go jogging
you could walk the dog or borrow one to walk, you tend to lose more weight out doors for some reason
it is a very complicated question.. did you make your work outs faster ( time wise )
faster work out speed?
did you increase or decrease the amount of calories you are taking in.do you drink enough cold water?
your new equipment should have so way of telling you how many calories you are using for a certain time and speed..check this out..plus your body re-sets you set points and it thinks you are starving so it goes into a saving your life mode..you need to shake up you body to get it going again..you need to eat MORE frequent meal more times a day..like even plain salad..this is what I would do
Good Luck
You may have 'hit a wall' with your aerobic exercise. I would rotate aerobics with a vigorous weight program. Also, place more emphasis gauging your progress with a tape measure and a mirror, as opposed to a scale; your weight can go up while you lose size, as muscle ways a little more than fat.

P.S. It's also not a good idea to exercise everyday. All vigorous forms of exercise damage the body to some degree, though you may not actually feel it. You should take at least one day a week off from exercising . The body performs optimally when it's had a chance to heal.
