I am just starting to work-out, is it o.k. to work-out for 15 min. 4 times a day? |
I would like to build up to 30 min. then 1 hour, but for now will I see any results from the 15, 4 times a day. I am riding a stationary bike, if that matters I would start with 15 minutes once a day. You are going to get tired of doing it that often. Then you can increase to 30 minutes, and an hour. once a day will be easier to manage. If you are in good health and shape to do so, If it's hurting you slow down, It's not a bad ideal to have your Doctor check you out before starting any diet or exercise program. Working out 15 min 4x/day may build up your stamina but as far as losing weight or turning fat into muscle is concerned, it may not do much. It takes 30 mins of constant aerobic exercise to get your heart rate going andit is only during the time beyond this initial 30 mins that you start burning calories to lose weight. well not if your aiming for losing weight!! That is just going to help you build up muscle which weighs more than fat. Try going for 15 minutes once or twice a day! Then go for an hour it is good to moderately exercise and slowly maximiaze your time . . . your going for an hour now which wont be any different then its making your muscles work all in one period instead of 4! 30 min twice a day would be better |
