Am i rowing too slow or what? |
it takes me about 50 min to row 10km/ 10, 000m..is my pace to slow? i burn at least 500 calories each time while rowing everyday ....... along with warmup of 10 -12 min stationary bike at 160 watts, and either 30 min of weight lifiting or 20 mins or treadmill..for a total of about 700 - 850 calories burned each day If it takes you 50 minutes to row a 10k, you are pulling a split of 2:30/500 meters. (To go 500 meters, it takes you an average time of 2:30 minutes.) Collegiate athletes usually can row at a 2:00 split over longer pieces. Depending on your fitness level, you may be able to benefit by pulling closer to that split, even just by pulling a 2:15 you would finish 5 whole minutes faster! It will work your muscles harder, build endurance, and burn more calories. A 2:30 split is nothing special when it comes to work outs on the ergometer.
