Why can't I lose anymore weight??? |
Since the beginning of September up until two weeks ago I have lost 39lbs. and 6 inches off my waistline. The last two weeks I've been stuck at 207 lbs. and haven't lost a pounds. I ride my stationary bike 6 days a week for 45 minutes a day. I do weight training 4 days a week for 45 minutes to an hour a day. As far as nutrition goes: Breakfast 1 cup of smart start cereal with 1% milk, an apple and 8oz. of orange juice 3 hours later 1 chicken breast with a cup of mixed vegetables and a glass of water lunch 1 chicken breast or cod or salmon fillet, sometimes a 4oz. eye round steak, a serving of brown rice, a piece of whole wheat bread, and a cup of mixed vegetables 3 hours later 2 apples Dinner Cod or salmon fillet, sometimes a 4oz eye round steak, plain baked potato and a small salad with fat free dressing 3 hours later 2 scoops of Isopure whey protein mixed in with 8oz. of 1% milk I've hit a plateau and do not know how to get past it. Any advice will be appreciated. The reason you can't lose weight is because you aren't anorexic. that maybe where your body wants to stop at. I don't know how you ate before but if you were a lot more than that than it could be that your body went into starvation mode. Your body might think that your environment is running out of food so it has to change the way it processes the foods you eat. It changes your metabolism. If that is what is happening then you just need to continue eating the way you are so that it adapts to your new way of eating. Good Luck and Congratulations on the weight loss! Please check your BMI index , Don't try to loose weight below normal. If you are still over weight than you need to recheck your diet as the rate of burning off your calories might be less than intake rate of calories.
