I plan on burning around 500 calories on rowing (approx 1 hr), and 100 crunches (i know it doesnt burn alot of fat, just builds muscle), and also 15min of stationary bike as a warmup + pre and post whey protein shake
Rowing is a very very good form of exercise. However if you want to burn more calories in the same amount of time running would be your best option. For an all over workout in a single exercise you can't really beat swimming, it works all you major muscle groups and builds up muscle. I'd take up running, it's really good for your circulation. Also, you'd better be planning on an hour every day! I go with my dad to the gym every day but Sunday and we stay for two to three hours. I'm like the fittest thirteen year old girl I know! noooooooooooooooooo, go to the GYM!
