Is it possible to loose 17 inches in 1 month?

I have been excising for a month, weights arobics, stationary bike. I have been doing this for 30 to 40 min a day 6 days a week. I am also dieting, I have only lost 7.5 lbs. but according to the tape measure I have lost 17.5 inches, waist, thies, hips arms etc. is this possible or am I taking my measurements wrong? I am not happy with my weight loss but thrilled with my inches loss.

It is possible to lose weight and not inches. Muscle weighs more than fat.
Losing the inches is probably a result of the cardio activities like the stationary bicycle and the aerobics. You are also losing fat, but because of simultaneously doing the weights you are not seeing the difference on the scale because you are gaining musle mass.
If you need/want to lose weight you could focus more on dieting and cardio aspects to start and go back to weight training later. If you want to do the weights stick to lighter weight and more repittions.
You should worry about losing POUNDS, not inches!
you are doing something wrong.
You lose more weigth than inches.
17.5 inches. wow that nutz.
lets say your waist was 32 inches. 32-17 is not possible
Its not very healthy to lose so much at once. Take it a little at a time. I heard it could be of harm to your health.
by exercising you are creating muscle, muscle weighs more then fat.in measuring it should always be in the same place
Muscle weighs more than fat. If you exercise enough, you'll probably GAIN weight. It shouldn't really matter how much you weigh if you like the way you look.
You should aim to lose 2lb per week. The inches will look after themselves.
