Does anyone take Guiness World Records seriously anymore?


I think it was a very interesting and enlightening idea to start, but some of the records are pointless.

There was a record broken this week by someone who peddled on a stationary bike for 85 hours. Like in all seriousness...who cares?

I remember records for who could shoot liquid out of their eyes the farthest...again, of what value is this info?

I thought the records used to have meaning but now they're just a joke.

i have never taken it very seriously... but the ORIGINAL rippley's believe it or not was amazing...
It's alot of new and weird categories that they are adding.
i know what you mean... people will do anything to get in that book

I didn't think they ever had real meaning. I always considered it to be 'entertainment.'
that's why i don't trust it
I missed the Guniess World record by not reaching 4,550 cast from a spinning reel in one hour.
I did 4,000 so it I failed to set it
