Am I doing enough to achieve my fitness goals?



I am a 43 year old American female that lives in Germany and does not speak or understand Deutsch. My sweet fiance has signed me up at the local fitness club, but he is not trained in helping me know if I am doing enough to achieve my fitness goals, so I have turned to Q & A.I am 5麓2" and weigh 183 pounds. I ride the stationary bike 3 times a week for 10 minutes at level 5, do a beginner step class for an hour a week, take a 30 minute walk once a week, and do a resistance training program using 6 different machines for my legs, arms and shoulders three to four times a week. Lastly, I have cut down on bad carbs-sweets, white breads, white rice, lowered my intake of red meats, have been eating 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, and only drink water-no cola. I do drink 1 recommended workout juice at the gym on the days I do rt.
Is what I麓m doing enough, or can you tell me what I am lacking? Can I e-mail someone to see if I am doing enough? I am really trying to get into shape!

Wow! That, to me, sounds like the perfect plan! I think you're doing everything. The only thing I would like to ask, is are you still getting all the nutrition you need? You mentioned 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, that's perfect, but you also need servings of dairy (low fat), and lean meats and such. As long as you're doing that, then I think you're on the right track! Doing good, you might want to increase the intensity of your cardio, 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for starters.
when you reach this age, the metabolism needs to be boosted, so kick start and pump up your heart rate, by 50 to 100 times jumping on the spot, couple of times a day, you can also join dancing classes with your sweet and caring fiance as sharing a fun activity will make the things more attractive. Try eating some negative calories food like eating uncut apple with the skin, salads also have skimmed milk and omellette with whites of the egg, white of the egg has only 17 calories with lots of protein, you can actually have as much you want.
