That if you workout on the treadmill/stationary bike/running on track for more than an hour, that you begin to burn pure fat after that hour? I have been trying to tone down on fat and it seems to go nowhere with the plan i have now. Any suggestions?
BTW, my plan is cardio 2 days and toning 3 days. I give myself a rest 2 days, and a vegetarian diet.
No, there is no magic time limit. It all has to do with staying within your target heart range. You could be working out too hard or too long and causing your body to burn muscle. If you get out of your range that's a real danger. Another possibility is that you aren't getting enough protein. Your body needs protein to burn the fat. You might want to do a food journal for a week or so and make sure that you are consuming enough protein. I don't know what the guideline would be for you personally but there are many places online where you can just type in all your personal stats and it will spit out what you should be consuming.
