I want to hear from all you fitness mommies? |
I found out I am expecting and do not want to have a 60 pound weight gain like I did with my daughter. What is great excercise to particpate in? Can I still ride my stationary bike? You can actually continue almost any exercise that you were doing before getting pregnant. Exceptions would be roller skating or anything else that would be likely to cause you to fall. I know that you can still jog in early pregnancy, too, but I'm not sure about late pregnancy. (I'm not much of a runner.) During my first pregnancy, I took lots of walks, I lifted weights, I took a pre-natal water aerobics class, and I went swimming. That weightless feeling of being in the water is amazing. I did not work out as much during my 2nd pregnancy, and I gained more weight and felt much worse. Staying active definitely helps! Good luck to you! Yep, ride your bike, walk, yoga or palates. She walks you through the exercises for all four stages of pregnancy including postpartum. I loved it |
