Correct weight for my height 5'4?

I'm a guy, 20, I have a stocky husky build. Right now I think I'm around 170-180. I want to lose some weight before I go to my senior year.

Currently what I'm trying to do and stick with is: ride a stationary bike for 30-45mins a everyday except mondays. I'm also doing some 20 min upper body work out every other day.

What else can I do to drop a few pounds before I go back to school?

Ok, for starters you need to disregard any BMI charts or any other sources that suggest a weight that corresponds to a certain height. I have been a personal trainer for just over seven years now and this is a question that I deal with quite frequently. Before you set any goal on how much you want to lose you need to sit down and picture the way you want your body to look completely void of how much that means you weigh. The fact of the matter is that everyones body is different and utilizes macronutrients differently. If there was a way to view our bodies at the highest level of fitness at different weights (given our height stayed the same) you would be surprised how many people would pick the weight that does not correspond with what bmi charts say that they "should weigh"

Hope this helps.

I would suggest jogging 2 miles once a week, and to get ready to jog i would also suggest 50 left cruches, 50 normal cruches, and 50 right cruches. I do this every monday, and it really works for me. Also do wall sits for as long as possible and time yourself, you'll be able to sit for longer periods of time when you do it regularly, so about once a day. Another thing i do is weight training twice a week. I do 3 sets of 12 pull-ups, bench press, pull, and shoulder press. You might be a little sore but your body will get used to it in no time at all. Also if you are driking gatorade, switch to the G2 kind, because it is alot healthier for your body than normal gatorade, but if you want to stick with gatorade, water it down before your work out.
Another thing you could do is stick with drinking 3 glasses of milk, lots and lots of water, and orange juice to keep your immune system up-and running well so you dont feel sick.
Also, before you run, do NOT drink milk, orange, pineaple, or grapefruit juice, or eat peanutbutter. Milk, those juices will create acid in your stomache. And peanutbutter doesnt help your breathing when you run. A good thing to do after your work out is drink a bottle of water, then walk some to cool yourself down.
i hope this helps :]

Your healthy weight for your height is between 135-145lbs. To drop some more pounds, drink lots of water (3L/day)! Cut out all sugar and bread. If you cant cut off bread, eat 100% whole grain or whole wheat. Dont eat after 6pm, if you get hungry have some fruit or tea. Your workout sounds good. Increase your cardio to 1hr? 20min upper body sounds good. Good luck!

It depends on your frame, but about 140 pounds. You didn't mention any changes to your diet; just cut the sweets and you'll be amazed how quickly the pounds fall off. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so I was forbidden from sweets, and I've gotten rid of about 25 pounds.

corect weight for your hight is about 140lb. you can't do much more but are you eating helthy??? cut out sweets and soda and as much bread as possible
but hey i'm 14yr and weigh 141lb and i'm as tall as you so check how much you weigh cause you mite not be that much you just feel that way.

Target weight for your height is 142.

Stocky, like hell.....

If you are 5' 4", and 170-180 lbs., you are overweight

Fast paced walking until you can work your way to a jog or running helps. Cardio burns a lot.

get your Body Mass Index recorded at a gym or at the YMCA , to know if your really fat or not. remember, muscle weighs more then fat.

130 im guessing since your a guy
