I need to lose thigh fat, but I don't know what I should use to do so. Roller Blades, maybe?

I have been on a diet for a few weeks now, consuming between 1100 and 1500 calories a day and exercising on a stationary bike for 15 minutes or until I have burned atleast 250 calories. The bike is helping some in other areas, but I measure my thighs everyday and they haven't changed at all. I was wondering if some one could recommend some sort of inexpensive machine like the Leg Magic, or maybe just exercises themselves? I have been thinking about Roller Blades, but I don't know if those would really help or not. I assume they would, but when a good pair cost well over 50 dollars, I don't want to go out and buy a pair based on an uneducated assumption. I don't have too much of a time limit. I would like to lose the fat as soon as possible, but I have as much as 3 months to work it off. So does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

you sound like you are doing really well and i admire the effort you are making...

when loosing weight different people loose weight in different places first and it sounds like you, like many people, don't wuickly loose wieght on the leg area as this is the area that fat stays around for longer, this isn't a problem and if you continue as you are doing the weight will aventually fall off.

as for the rolar blades, it is a great way to tone up your legs and its fun aswell it will also target your bottom aswell which is always good news. i think it is a good idea to buy them as far as it should help you keep motivated becuase its a fun thing to do, but i think that there are other (free) things you can do which will be more benieficial, for example hill running or walking will target the legg area and it is more strenuos and burns more calories aswell as toning which is perfect. other exercise include swimming, dancing and running and walking normally, instead of getting b lades you can buy a pedometer and increase your daily steps, if increased you will see a big difference i can assure you.

good luck and keep up the good work

I really don't think that roller blades will help a lot. Swimming would be good. But i suggest biking more than 15 minutes. Burn more calories. 30 minutes i think would be good. And make sure you are happy with how you look. Being healthy would be more important.

get an exercise bike .that works great

Skate Boarding

play soccer

You really need to go out and run every day, the only thing you need for that are shoes. If your highschool has an open track, go run a 100, 200, 300, 400, and an 800 every day. If you don't know, a track is divided into four 100 m sections, two straights and two curves, so run one part, and walk an equal distance. Don't drink any soda, just water, I recommend the flavor packets that you can get next to the Kool-Aid if you don't like the taste of straight water. Also, cut out any fast food, yes, this includes any meal that you can get from a car.

As far as shoes, a pair of Nike Shox makes all the difference in the world, it feels like you're floating, and will make the run more enjoyable and less stressful. An iPod also helps.

Just need to be on the stationary bike longer. 250 calories burned isn't that much especially when you're consuming 1100 to 1500 calories. I would increase to at least 20 minutes if you have the time, 30 - 40 mins would be ideal. Also if you have access to a gym try, an elliptical machine, or stair master. They will work your legs. Also if your gym has group classes I would highly recommend turbo kickboxing it is great for your legs and arms, they get a lot of working out.

If no access to the gym, then do lunges and squats.

Roller blading is fun, but isn't the most effective workout. If I was you I wouldn't go out and buy them unless you can get a pair really cheap or something.

The key to losing weight on ANY part of your body is cardio (running, biking, walking, etc.) to burn calories and strength training (lunges, pilates, and other leg-machines) to tone and build muscle. Do both for the best results! Focus the strength training on your lower body to to targer that specific area.

Biking is a great theigh workout actually, so I'm surprised you are not seeing results. If you have access to a gym, StairMasters are also a good leg workout, so is jump roping and lunges.

To slenderize (don't know if that's a word) your legs try yoga or pilates. These exercizes concentrate more on stretching out your muscles to create a lean look, rather than bulky.

Good luck, and remember, you've only been dieting\exercizing for a few weeks, so be patient because you will probably start notcing changes soon!

1. i would get a 15 pound (more or less depending on how strong u r!) weight. hold it right above ur head w/ both hands. then squat have ur legs a little over shoulder width apart. squat down until ur knees and calfs r at about a 40 degree angle. do about thirty slow reps. the slower u go the better results u will get. u can also do the same exercise on one leg. (but thats a lot harder!)

2. Another thing u could try is lunges. take a weight or medicine ball and hold it with both hands at ur chest. lunge forward and have ur knees at a 90 degree angle. make sure u can see ur toe over the knee that is forward. also do this slowly.

3. hold a weight or medicine ball at ur chest. bend ur knees and jump as high as u can. do this about 20 times

4. put ur back up against the wall. so only ur upper body is leaning on the wall. then put ur legs in a 90 degree angle. it should look like u r sitting in a chair. hold this for a minute. don't rest ur hands on ur knees

there r many more ways u can work leg muscles but these r a few simple ones so good luck! :)
