Is riding a stationary bike good excercise for weight loss?


I'm about 70+ pounds overweight, and in the fall, I'm going to start attending a university with a full fitness center where students have free membership.

I was thinking about arriving early before my classes and riding the stationary bike for maybe an hour just to get some exercise and lose some weight. Will this do much, or not?

It will definately help! Make sure you do it between 60-80% of your max heart rate to burn calories efficietly. I would also change up the cardio every other week. Try a week of walking briskly followed by the bike. This way your body doesn't plateau
