Why am I finding it harder to lose weight then before?


I am 30 years old and About a year ago, I would use a stationary bike 20 minutes each day and lose alot of weight and get rid of stomach fat and love handles. And eat what I want.

But now a year later, I have gained weight and a belly and I continue with my work out routine and eating healthy but can't lose any weight, Why?

it's not your age, it's not that your metabolism is changing, it's not that anything is changing really. the problem is called "plateau". You lost weight by becoming more fit and so now your body is thinking everything is cool, that it can maintain this weight and still meet demand. You have to tell it that it can no longer meet demand by retaining it's current fitness level. You gotta change it up a bit. Go to the next level. Reduce caloric intake by 500 more calories a day, that's like two bottles of soda or a desert. And then, you've got to increase your workouts to thirty minutes, lift weights is a must. Strong dense muscle increase the body's ability to burn fat. Find another activity for cardio. If you keep doing the same thing your body will not react. if you keep changing it up, making it different it'll work harder, buring more fat.

It is your metabolism. It gets slower as you grow older. Plus you usually get less active as the stresses of work and family pile up on you as you grow older. Another thing is that as you ae you get more money and buy better and richer food that can lead to extra pounds.

Age and it is always easier to lose weight earlier in the workouts because it is water weight, your body may be used to that amount of exercise and it is no longer burning fat, try upping your time on the bike or try running or swimming

It might be harder to work out since you are heavier or you changed your way of eating
