Does cycling make legs bulk up or slim down? |
on a stationary bike, for an hour 4-6 days a week It all depends on how high your saddle is from the peddles. As a rule of thumb when the peddile is at its lowest point, your leg should be nearly straight, with a very slight bend to the knee,. The first thing I will point out is that women can not get bulked up unless they really want to (they have to take steroids or other supplements). You lack the necessary hormones to bulk up. Cycling is just about the best thing you can do to get great muscle tone in your legs. People comment to me at the gym about my legs and I tell them it is from cycling. I think your legs would only bulk up if you had it set on very high resistance, a flat cycle or slight incline would just tone. Also 4-6 hours of any cardio exercise a week will make you lose weight - I think average cycling burns about 500 calories an hour so that would be nearly a pound a week. No it makes the muscules on the back of youre legs get bigger because i do a lot of cycling and my muscles have gotten bigger. it should tone them rather than slim or bulk up. dont do to much or you will end up bulking them an hour a day should be just right . Cycling is considered cardio excercise. .bulk up..i think.. For me, it makes them slim down. stationary bike it wood tone them. if your stationary you dont move so nothing should happen. it hurts my legs ,,so i dont do it much but it makes the legs stronger it hink they'll slim down hunny, slim down with good diet,,trust me yeah i think they do hey, how come you look like me?? my avatar??? you must be a clone |
