Which is better for losing weight?


Which is better for losing weight and elliptical,treadmill,or stationary bike?

They are all good but if on the elliptical you are also using the arms then you can burn more calories per hour. Some treadmill have handle bars where you can exercise your arms. On the bike you can try using hand weights and do arm lifts and bicep curls to get a total workout and maximize the effect. To lose weight the more calories you burn the better so increase the intensity and or the length of exercise lke from half an hour to an hour. To lose a pound of fat you need to burn 3500 calories. That is about 500 a day an dto burn that you need to run on a treadmill for an hour so its hard work. Good luck.

The Arc Trainer is the best in my opinion, as well as the treadmill being up there. It basically comes down to personal preference too. The elliptical is a great machine for losing weight, but for example i cant use it, its extremely painful for my knees. So try them all out and see which one you like so that way you can lose weight using a machine you prefer.

All excercising helps you. It is better if you do all of them so they can work on the different muscle groups. (Ex. if you you use a tradmill it works out your legs.) You should do different types of excercising according to what you want to get rid of. You should workout twice a week or more and gradually increace how long you spend working out, the difficulty, and how often you excercise.

I say treadmill and elliptical . The stationary bike , mostly works on your legs . The elliptical works on your legs and arms and when your on the treadmill , you can use weights and work out your arms also...but the bike , makes my *** numb .

but if u alternate back and forth between things u will get a better workout and lose more!

I would say a stationary bike. A treadmill can also be bad for your feet with the constant impact. 3 healthy meals a day will help also.
