1000 calories a day?


no meat besides fish and chicken and turkey

no drinks except water

2 meals a day, 1 snack.

Run 2 miles, stationary bike 1 hour, skateboarding 1 hour


I have 1 1/2 to go down 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt sizes. I'm guessing thats 20 pounds.

Will it work? Probably. You are going to be miserable.

1,000 calories a day is considered a starvation diet, so you might want to up the calorie count, especially since you are doing a lot of exercise. Shoot for 1,200 to 1,500 calories a day 1,500 to 1,800 if you're a guy), and allow yourself to have a day every other week or so where you can just "pig out".

I've been on a 1,200-1,400 calorie a day diet for about 3 weeks now. I've lost 6 pounds and I'm not putting a whole lot of effort into working out.

I know everyone wants to "lose it fast", but the reality is that if you set such unrealistic goals for yourself, you'll get frustrated, discouraged, and be more likely to give up altogether before you reach your goal.

Also, as a side note, if you are a girl, please make sure you are getting 3-5 servings of diary every day. It's really important to maintain good bone health when you are younger, as it builds the foundation for when you are older and will help prevent osteoporosis.

Why are you using 1000 calories in two meals? Maybe you should look at 200 calories for 5 meals or break it up into 200/ then 300/ then 100/then the last meal could be 400 calories. The best way to turn up the fat burning, is to eat throughout the day.
The run is AWESOME! The other cardio is great too! Make sure you are getting enough sleep. Some people forget your body needs at least 8 hours when trying to change up your new healthy eating an exercise routine! Other that a little tweaking it sounds good! Good luck!

It sounds "spot on" to me. I am assuming that you are young enough to endure this intense weight loss plan. I hope you don't stop a diet and exercise after you reach your go goals set forth in your question. Hey, I am proud of your all out effort.
