Burn calories---time vs speed--does it matter? |
so, if i work out about 30 mins on stationary bike at a vigorous pace, i burned about 350-400 calories At a high pace, your body burns muscle glycogen and blood sugar mostly. At a slower pace your body tends to dip into your fat stores a little more and you burn more fat. Alternating between the two ensures that you are getting the benefit of cardio endurance and fat loss. I'm not an expert but I believe that time = more muscle where speed = cardio/weight loss. |
