Plateaus.. etc,?

Ok, last June I weighed 77kg ,169lbs (I am 167cm 5'6)

I then lost 5kg (11lbs) pretty quickly on my exercise bike seeing as I did absolutely nothing beforehand.

I gave up for a while for some reason and started again on January the first. I then lost a further 3kg so I am now sitting on 69-70kg.

I really need help getting motivated, do you have any meal ideas etc.. also exercises I can do at home..

I have two 3kg handweights and also a stationary bike.

I want to get down to around 60-62kg, I know I am just in the healthy zone now bmi wise, but I have big thighs so am size 12-14 pants and size 10-12shirts.. (AUSTRALIAN SIZE)

ok thanks for your help :)

I don't mind how long it takes, I would be happy to even lose half a kilo a week at the moment.

I'm surprised no one has answered after half an hour, that's a bit hurtful.

I'm in the same boat as you, and struggling to stay motivated. I've used self hypnosis and subliminals with some great success. I would listen to them at night with earphones while I slept. I ended up stopping for awhile and slipping into some bad habits again, but I'm managing to keep most of the weight off that I've already lost, and I'm just starting up with them again.

There is also a fantastic ebook called "Burn the fat, feed the muscle" which I'm currently reading. It's quite inspiring and the author goes into detail about body types and what is required to keep fat off and build lean muscle. Myself, I walk quite a bit since I don't have a car, and when I feel inspired I'll turn up the music and use my orbitrek for half an hour and do some basic weights and pushups. I also don't believe in cutting out so called 'bad foods' entirely, because you really lose motivation quickly and become unhappy. I also think it's really important not to focus too much on what you haven't lost, and more on what you're achieved so far, as it seems to draw in more of the same. I've been trying, but not being too hard on myself, just doing what I can, and I've found the weight is coming off very slowly, but it's staying off.

I'm not sure if I've been very helpful, but if you want someone to chat to about it to help stay motivated or if you want to know more about the ebook or something, please feel free to email me. I hope everything goes well for you!

well first off you have to find something you think is fun and is going to keep you intrested for awhile. plateaus is fun but also takes a lot of motivation.

try working out with friends its always funnier if theres more then one. music also helps. listening to something that keeps you going for me it'd be rock cuz its an up beat.

if anything walk a lot. just go out for walks and take the weights with you.

by the way the stationary bike is so fun haha sorry had to add that.

hope something i said will help you out.
