How can i jog for 15 minutes without stopping?


I've always been a healthy person. i eat right, i'm not overweight, i do 3 hours of exercise daily . fast walking on the treadmill 7.5 incline , and moderate impact on the stationary bike .

I've always wanted to jog , but i can only get up to 2 minutes and i have to stop because it seems to hard . How can i jog without stopping because right now it seems impossible . Is there any way of taking small steps to eventually get there ?

Start with walking and slowly move on to jogging. Then , you can move on to running. Be sure to do some warm up excercises before you start jogging , or u'll get bad cramps.

yes. start really slow, like just above a walk. also, build up gradually even if it's just adding a minute each week and eventually you'll make it. gl

you should be able too...keep the incline down and start at 5....if that doesn't work go lower...

Out of my personal experience.I only fast walk on the tread mill and workout in the gym for 2 to 3 hours a day.I find difficulty when I jog like you do.It should be taken step by step.Each time increase 2 more mins,till you reach your 15 mins.

haha, good thing you don't have to do pe. you have to run miles and miles without stopping

i used to be just like you, but after some personal training i can run for over an hour without stopping.. the key for me was the mind.

My PT taught me about how to use my mind, basically telling me that if my mind tells them to keep going my legs wont give up. When you start to jog your legs and body in general starts to feel the effects after a couple of minutes, but if you can push through the pain messages your legs send your brain you will find that it will dissapear and you will be able to go alt longer.

I basically talk to myself in my head telling myself that i can do it, and that my legs will keep going if i tell them too!

Sounds like you are going crazy but i am telling you it really works!

I like to do intervals. I will jog for a few minutes and then walk for a few minutes. You can start out doing short jogging intervals with longer walking intervals, and then increase the length of your jogging as you get into shape. Eventually, you should be able to jog for 15 minutes without stopping. Good luck!
