What has better handling, a sport bike or a car?

What has better handling, a sport bike or a car?

If you go by pure numbers, a high performance, street legal sports car will generally handle better than a high performance, street legal bike. The car will be able to pull more G's around corners without losing it, and will brake a little better. Plus, a sports car is a lot easier to handle at it's limits than a bike. A semi-skilled driver can throw a sports car around a corner to get close to it's maximum performance, or mash on the brakes to get it's best braking. It takes an excellent rider to be able to take a high performance sports bike to it's limits without killing yourself.

As far as track times go, that's a different story. Bikes can take straight lines on most tracks because of their size, and can smoke most sports cars in straight line acceleration. So, on many tracks, a bike will cream most sports cars. Of course the type of track, type of bikes and cars, and drivers of each vehicle will make a huge difference.

In terms of bang-for-your-buck performance, the bike wins hands down. A $15,000 "sports" car (you're not going to get a very sporty car for that much money unless it's 15 years old) will get smoked by a $15,000 bike. If you want to run with a top of the line sport bike, you'll need to buy a Porsche or Corvette or better.

It all depends on what bike or car you would be reffering to

Depends on the bike or the car.

The local police get their jollies when a bike tries to outrun a cop car by pulling up to less than a foot behind the bike. They won't back off until they have thoroughly scared the daylights out of the rider. Onewrong move by the rider and they're dead.

a sport bike by far.If you know your limits.with a bike you need far less room, road, space to manouver.

A sports car is faster in the turns and slower in the straights. Four tires allows it to handle greater lateral G and inferior power to weight ratio makes it slower.
