Want to take up skateboarding?

k im a girl and 16 i need to know everything there is to know, how long will it take to get good, is it harder for girls to learn, im really active and play all sports and love riding my bike, how much does a board cost ...[thnx]

There is no way of knowing how long it takes to get good, but I can tell you this. As long as you stick to it and your dedicated to it, you WILL eventually get good. When it comes to skateboarding, someone who is dedicated to learn but only skates like 4 days a week is eventually going to get better than someone who skates 7 days a week but never had become dedicated to it. No, girls have the same chance at getting good as guys. A board can cost anywhere from $20(blank or shop board) to around $50(pro boards).
I would recommend you to start off with a blank or shop board and work your way up as you get better.
