Starter Sport Bike!!!? |
What is a good starting sport bike? I have had 6 years of experience on motorcycles. I have rode dirt bikes all of those six years. When I turn 14 and old enough to get my license I want to get a sport bike that is kind of powerful yet fast. Please give me the make and model in your response! Sorry everybody I must be 16 to have motorcycle license.......I have to put it off a little longer. its not about make and model they all have the weakness but for the most part there even but the one thing i would say is nothing under 500cc if you get smaller than that in two months you will be unpleased its better to have to grow in to a bike rather than have it fit you right now the frist post say 250 ninja lol if you like having to yank on the clipons to pull the front end off the ground and top speed at about 120 to 140 mph and i mean top you are not getting there in any rush then ya go for it there cheap around 5000 brand new but for about 800 more you can jump into a 500+ cc bike where you top speed is around 165mph and you will get there fast wheelie if you want you never have to come off the back tire and just let the front one hang even tho the cops dont like it much lol but look at the style you like what looks beter to you ninjas suck on corners but love open road hondas kill on the corners but there power comes in later in the rpms there more to a bike and pros and cons Kawasaki Ninja 250. They've updated the styling to make them look like the big bikes...nice little machines. Honda CBR600RR also the F4i...both are WELL balanced bikes as far as power, speed, and handlin..also the Suzuki GSX-R600..but i dont think a 14 yr old needs a sport bike..its just a maturity thing..no crackin on ya..cause im only 18 and i still dont think i would drive that thing smart..its a very quick and easy way to get killed..i know 3 guys thats have been killed ridin a bike..all under 23..and guess what...showin off..but think hard about it fore you buy it the Kawasaki Ninja 250cc is by far the best starter sport bike and there is a big difference between sport bikes and dirt bikes especially in handling and braking I had a couple ninja 250s. They're good bikes. Glad they finally updated the style, its about time! Nothing against sport bikes they seem kind of kool for some. BUT if your just worried about how fast your going to go either don't ride or find a track !!! No matter what bike you get there are safety factors to consider. You can get your license at 14? With six years of experience, buy whatever you want, as long as both your feet are on the ground flat when you sit on the saddle. in what state can a 14 yo get a permit/license to ride a motorcycle.... you should get a buell, yeah a buell, They are inexpensive, very reliable, sporty, strong and pretty fast. They sell them in most Harley dealers |
