Used sports bike motorcyle?

ive been lookin into buyin a sports bike this summer new or used. Ill probably be looking at a kowasaki or yamaha. What are good motorcyles and about how much will they cost?

I would suggest 2 websites that have helped me.

www.totalmotorcycle.com for reviews and general bike info.

www.nadaguides.com then click on motorcycles and then motorcycle values. Great site that gives you a range of prices.

Good luck!

My brother just sold me his Kawasaki that he bought last summer. He paid $6,000 brand new. Cost goes up from there depending on the size that you want.

Honda's are very good im not so sure about kawasakis though i rode a honda for a while and i loved it, Yamaha's are also nice but probably not as durable they can run you anywhere from 3 to 10 thousand dollars but if your a smart shopper you can probably get a nice one for about 6 and change [used]

It is spelled Kawasaki your bad. Even before you consider buying a bike take a MSF course it might just save your life.

Remember you must learn how to crawl before you learn to walk.

I think generally speaking, Honda makes their bikes with more exacting specifications. It can flip depending on the style of bike but Yamaha is next with Kawasaki and or Suzuki in battle.

I am biased against Suzuki when a rear main blew one week after warranty even though I mentioned how I though I noticed a slight decrease with power and they did not assist me with the $2,100 rebuild bill...The decrease in power was minor and translated to about 9% in increased fuel consumption three weeks before warranty expired.

I now have a Yamaha Royal Star and it is solid.

If you have never ridden, get a nice used one and plan to lay it down...Otherwise new is sweet and you know the owner has not abused it...

ALL the Japanese makers are all equally good, read from your local bike mag for details........it just depends on what things you want the bike to do ? ,be specific ,call your local dealer and take some for a test drive to see what suits your taste.
