Can you drive a sports bike to Vegas?

I'm still new to bikes
so if this is a stupid question
keep the comments to yourself

I heard that you can't take a sports bike to vegas cuz the wind will knock you down
I went to vegas (in a car) and the wind was pushing hard on the car

so can you take a sports bike in vegas?
how safe is it?

so even in really wind places you could ride a bike?
at times (few) that its so windy that when I'm driving my truck (f 150)
I could feel the wind MOVE the truck as I'm driving

I aguree, I'd be more worried about my *** than the wind, you'll definatley want some experience before riding through harsh wind conditions. But as long as it's not a hurricane, you can ride through it, although it's not very fun.

i go anywhere on my bike. wind or rain. But not in snow or icy road.

you can ride your bike to vegas. you are
right this is a dumb question.

sure you can... just keep your speed reasonable and be prepared.... you will be fine... besides there is no way to gain experience other that getting out there and doing it....
oh and one other thing....as much as possible keep your biker in the left hand third of the road.... this will give you more pavement to work with if you run into a gust of wind from the sides...enjoy

Modern sports bikes are deadly serious single-purpose machines. They're very uncomfortable for long trips. If you can handle the seating position and the 'race tuned' suspension for several hours, dealing with wind will be a minor consideration. 8^)

You can ride a sports bike around the world, it has been done. I find a sportsbike better than a sit up bike in the wind. Is it relay that windy in the US?
I have ridden my R1 to the south of France from the UK with no problems, Just go for it.

Why wouldn't you?

Okay, so it may be windy...if you're lucky, it's a tail wind and you save a bunch of money on fuel bills. If they're crosswinds, you'll have to fight them ( which may make it a little more difficult to ride but not impossible ).

Wind is no biggie Comfort would be
How far a ride are you talking about ?
I have seen an 80 mph crosswind in wyo that almost blew my truch off the road so just be ready for it In fact where i notice it mast is passing trucks its from 3 directions in 75 feet at 90 mph
