Difference from a 250r ninja & 500 ninja?

im looking to get a ninja but reaserching on the 250r it sound alot like a dirt bike, do all 250r's sound like this? and does the 500 sound alot more beefy at the exhaust? i want one that gots the famous sport bike sound when you rev. the 250r is sounding like a dirt bike to me. are they all sounding like that or is it me?
im leaning toward the 500 ninja what do you think?

please no smart remarks, and answer only if you know about ninjas. thanks

I don't think the other guys understood your question.

The answer is that they will both sound a little like a dirt bike, because they are both 2-cylinder engines. If you want that revving sport bike sound you need a 4-cylinder bike. Most of the 600's fall in this category.

T.

you will be alot happier with the 500

from what i remember its the different engine size
and different like engine setups (exaust headers, exaust, muffler, ect.) iv delt mostly with ducatis
but
used to own a 500 so
im biased towards the 500

for the money you can't beat a 250. it is not like a dirtbike.

top speed is 114, my speedo showed 117 at top speed. light bike and good resale.

I never rode a 500 but that has to be more desireable.

however, I liked my little 250. I payed 3100 out the door, rode it for a year as my primary vehicle and sold it for 2800 dollars. went to mexico..all over the place. paid less than 200 dollars to get the valves adjusted after spending over an hour at 100mph, but that is the only time it left me hanging.

You can get any sound at the exhaust you want by using different pipe/muffler combos. I ride a cruiser but thanks to aftermarket 4 into 1 pipes and a sporty muffler, it purrs like a 'vette.

There is a video that is well put together below. Go there and click on the one that says "What new riders should know and buy"
