Why is the Kawasaki Z1000 considered a sport bike, it looks more like a Harley styled bike?
Several manufacturers have adopded the "Harley" look to promote sales of motorcycles. Most would like a HD but can't afford one. Sport bike, cruiser, dirt bike, dual sport, it all depends on what the consumer wants for looks, price, functionality, and what feels "right" to the individual. With a sport bike, you can cruise, and hit the curves. Being a rider myself, I can tell the previous answers were from Harley riders. To me, all bikers have a bond. I was a previous president of a club of 32 riders, I ride a 1977 KZ1000, (sport class). Once at a stop light, one of the two Harley riders in front of me asked if my bike was running, (did'nt make near the noise). I simply replied.....wait till the light turns green! It's not a matter of what your riding, but comfort, price, and just enjoy! Stay safe and keep it between the lines! You don't know what a Harley looks like. A Z1000 certainly doesn't. When Kawasaki Z machines start looking like Harleys, I will think about stopping drinking.
