Y dosnt india have most no of super bikes[sport bike]? well india can have but the duty is almost 125% which makes the bike pretty expensive more over the roads traffic&speed breakers do u think indias even close to solving these problems??? well even though you have cars like porshe and audi entering the indian market , bike manufacturers on the other hand(even the big names like honda and suzuki) are refusing to go beyond 150-225 cc , mainly with the idea that bikes in india are associated with necessity and cars , with luxury. Its India. If anyone went over cow speed, the entire country would collapse. well, apart from importing, the question asked by bike-fans is that why arent companies like suzuki, yamaha and honda, which are working in india singularly without any collaborations, delaying the introduction of sport bikes. well, even though they have the capability, the companies have to consider more than just a small section of society. the launch of a new product is a purely economic decision. the main drawback is that these bikes are bound tto be expensive, hindering large sales. as such only a certain affluent section of society will purchase such bikes. some companies, like kinetic, in collaboration with hyosung motors brought limited edition bikes(aquila & comet) to cater for that audience. still we are hopefull that in the near future, we do get to se some powerfull bikes. in the mean time, wait for the bajaj pulsar 250, yamaha fazer 250 and the honda 250, all bound to be launched soon. the bajaj 250 was evevn showcased in the auto expo in pragati maidan a few months bak. India has noting but cow dung and diseases |
