to put down .can or will anybody finance me?
use a credit card and pay it off early. If you have credit that low you shouldn't be buying large items on credit anyway. Spend some time paying off your debts on-time until you can get your score closer to average (678 today) and then you can actually get a decent rate you can afford. $3,000 is small enough that you should have that readily available any way. Sorry for the tough love. You could definitely get financing with a score like that for that low of an amount, especially if you have some money to put down (at least $300, I'd say) and if your debt to income ratio is fairly low. Try credit unions for lower rates, but with a credit score like that you'll still probably get 5-7%. I work at a car dealership.
