Is there any websites that can teach you how to ride a manual sport bike ? |
i used to own a 200cc dirtbike and i could shift up but i couldn't learn how to shift down please helpppp Not really. The best way to learn is to ride. And the best place to do this is at a MSF sponsored class. They will teach you everything from how to start the bike, shift, cornering, braking, evasion, and the laws in your state. They'll even teach you how to lift a bike that's been dropped. Here are a couple of web sites for you to check out for more info: http://www.amadirectlink.com/roadride/ne... http://www.msf-usa.org/ The other upside to taking the course, is that in many states, you will receive your endorsement upon successful completion of the class. Take the beginner's MSF course and as soon as you qualify, take the advanced course. After all of that, if you really, REALLY want to learn how to ride a sport bike properly, find check the internet for local sport-riders to ride with. Find knowledgeable and MATURE riders (most mature riders will say that they take all their agressive riding to the track). Take a beginners race class after 6 months to a year of riding. This is a terrifying and humbling experience, but it is also amazing. BTW, Keith Code's "Twist of the Wrist" is probably one of the greatest books written about rapid motorcycle riding. There's no substitute for real practice. So I'd recommend finding a motorcycle school. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is affiliated with most of the schools in the US, but they aren't the only game in town. In most states, the office that issues your driver's license will have a list of approved motorcycle schools. Here are a couple of sites....read and practice. http://www.ehow.com/how_5242_shift-gears... http://www.helium.com/tm/474052/shifting... yes |
