I want to buy a streetbike i have ridden dirtbikes most of my life what would be a good sport bike to start on How about a Ninja 650 or Suzuki SV650? The 650 cc twins are good first street bikes for riders with plenty of dirt experience, and make great all around machines compared to the somewhat more specialized supersports. Honda cbr 600, it is a reliable strong running bike, it is well balanced, fairly light bike, still is a rather quick bike. yamaha YZRF-1 its light small and handels good! i own 2 of them kawasaki seems to make great street bikes. they have a 250 that looks like the beefier 500's, and it is only 3k brand new. the 500's are also a nice option. im getting me a 250, but my reasoning is cause i dont wanna spend that kinda money on a bike that im almost sure i will end up layin down. It depends what you want to do and how honest you can be with yourself. How good a rider are you? The 4 cylinder (CBR, YZF, GSX, etc) bikes are good, but they are fast fast fast! There really are no bad bikes. The Kawasaki Ninja 250, 500, or 650 are good starter bikes. The Ninja 600 is not a good starter bike for the same reason as described above (but is still a good bike) 35+ years riding experience and 10 bikes in my garage. |
