Women's motorcycle! What would be the best sports bike for a 19 year old to buy? |
i am 19 and i love sport bikes. i like the look and sound of them. i really want to get one soon so i can ride with my boyfriend when he gets on. this would be the first bike i have been on in some time. i was thinking about i ninja 250. but i was think maybe something like a 600, something with a little more power!!! but i can still handle it with out any problems. thanks Well if I could control you I would never let you get a bike....No joke , they are dangerous...It is not if you go down it is when you go down....I have been riding street bike for years and I have seen some things that people considering getting a bike, would change their minds real fast on stil getting one... With that being said 250 are fun but might as well get a 600......Depends on how much $ you plan to pay you really cant go wrong.....Most females i see have R6...invest in leathers and full ride gear.... The 600 is a good choice. It is strong enough to keep up with anyone, but not so strong as to get you in trouble. If you haven't ridden in a long time, even if you are an experienced rider, I recommned you take a MSF course (Basic Rider Course or Experienced Rider Course). Motorcycle instructor for 8 years You should pick your bike by how it fits you as well as displacement. Can you reach the floor, do you reach the bars easily and comfortably, etc. As for the 250, it is a perfect beginner's bike, but you may get bored. It is slooowww. Any new 600 that is a supersport, i.e.: CBR600RR, Kawi zx6r, GSX-R 600 or YR6 have waaayyy to much death, I mean power, for a first time rider. My friend died 2 months ago after having his 600 for two weeks. He was 31. Use your head not your heart and choose wisely. A used 250 could be had cheap, and you'll get the money back when you sell it to buy your 600 a while later, after your ready. Long time rider, coulda died crashes (2) , motorcycle mechanic. It doesn't really matter, a 250 will be able to keep up as long as they aren't riding like idiots, which they shuoldn't be or you're gonna be in trouble regardless. No matter what you get, don't get something new, or even close to new. get something that's atleast a few years old so there are lots of parts around to buy if you break something. Getting one that already has a few scratches on it wouldn't be a bad idea either. How tall a girl are you? hello miss Kendell, i appreciate ur choice and ur style. i like ur choice of the 250cc category and love to see girls on those controlled power bikes.u know for getting in trouble bike could be from any category coz in India people hurt themselves from 100cc bike as well. however a sensible rider like u very well know how to ride safe, Wat suits u, and 250cc is enough for riding as couple. also dont forget to check out Honda Hornet 250 in www.bikez.com. trust me its amazing being a naked bike it gives hardcore look.
