What are the pro's and cons of becoming a biker (sport bikes)?

my boyfriend is 20 going on 16. his care got totaled and he wants to get a suzuki or some kind of bike. We have a 1 year old little girl and i am a full time college student, do you think he should get a bike, he is not very responsible with his cars and i am very worried about him getting a bike.

No. Motorcycle riding is dangerous no matter how experienced or skilled you are. Other motorists tend not to see a cyclist. My hubby lost his leg at 18 yrs old. He was getting set to race professionally. He was very safe and still is. Over the years we have lost our younger friends due to inexperience mainly on their cycles...racing, showing off etc. He should not get a bike from the sound of it. Only he can make that decision, you can hope he will become more responsible. Have him talk to veteran riders they will have more advice to offer. Stop by a local motorcycle shop I'm sure they will help with riding tips and safety advice. Good luck!
bikes are a lot easier to manuver, but harder for other drivers to see.
if he's had a bunch of wrecks with 4 wheels under him, he shouldn't even think about a bike.
They are nice for a country drive. They are usually loud so they keep deer away. They are very good on gas.
Now for the Cons:
They are no good in the snow and I wouldn't recommend driving one in rain either. Inexperienced driver can lose control over a pothole or small rock. The only thing between you and the road in an accident is your helmet. If you wear protective gear it's to prevent your skin from scraping off your body in the event of an accident. If you are in a city area cars and trucks have no regard for you - most of the time not seeing you until the last moment. So it doesn't even have anything to do with how experienced a driver you are - it also depends a LOT on the drivers around you.
20 going on 16--------------------------I see.
How did the car get totalled? His fault?
The some kind of bike should probably be a bicycle, if anything.
You can't carry children that small on a motorcycle. Responsibility is the key.
I may ride my motorcycle every day, but my wife drives the family car and THAT comes first. ALWAYS.
