What is a good first bike to have? |
RIght, I am nearly 17, and I want to get a motorbike, but I want some adivce on what bike to get. Yeah, I can only get a 125cc one, but I want a sports, or sports style bike. Any advice or reccomendations? I lurve the ducati 1000ds, but I obvioiusly can't legally have that, but are there any other ducatis like that, with the right engine? Any sports bike will do to be honest. Just need some advice. thanks. You always better to start out with a small dirt bike to learn, but if you want a street bike, I would start out with nothing bigger than a 600. Safety first. You want to live to enjoy it, and watch out for those cars. Source(s): mechanic riding 29 years Sachs XTC125 4 stroke, learner legal. http://www.sachsmotorcycles.co.uk/... You'd never believe it's a 125cc. or there are the Aprilias. Sachs is best though. You should try a Cagiva MITO, looks like a ducati and it's pretty good as far as 125's go. 7 gears etc http://wallpapers.diq.ru/wp/27__cagiva_m... buell blast would be a good bike, and i think that might be within the hp limits. 34 hp at 6,500 rpm on a single cylinder engine that's only 492cc's. dont discount it tho. if u disrespect even a single cylinder engine, it's capable of producing enough speed to get u seriously hurt. Best thing is to be patient. Get a cheap bike, CG125, SR125 something like that to take your test on and save the rest of your money for the bike of your dreams. It will be all the more special for you waiting and saving up for it rather than compromising for a second best |
