What's a good bike that I can fit on? |
I would like a bike that is up to 33 bhp but being only 5'1, wanting to look good and being new at this i just don't know where to start. I think I would like a sports bike Allot of bikes can be lowered with a lowering kit. See a bike shop to see what they have to say. You can always lower it a bit more with a lowered seat, these have a bit of seat foam removed go to a bike/outdoors store and talk to someone who works there. you should definitely be able to find something that works. I would look at a Kawasaki Ninja 250. As far as I know that is about the smallest sport bike there is. It won't be too fast but I would go to the dealership and ask to sit on one. Being 5'1" I would assume you are of smaller stature body wise. Before purchasing a motorcycle you should make sure you can physically handle the demands of riding one. The Ninja I am speaking of has a 304 lb. dry weight and there are times you may need to save the bike from falling over in parking lots and such. If this is not a problem, then have fun and be careful. Riding and Kawasaki.com Sounds like a Kawasaki Ninja 250 would be about right for you - the power is about right, and it's one of the lowest seat sport bikes out there. If it's too tall, you can add a lowering kit. More of a Cruiser, but then also a lot more comfortable: http://ridleymotorcycles.com/ Go to dealerships until you find a machine that you like & fit, work from there. 33 hp won't get u very far very fast. My advice is, Harley Davidson has a Sportster Low. My gf who is 5'0 can sit on one with her heal barley raised. U can get them in the 883 or 1200. I would go with the 883 until u get comfortable with the bike then have it bored out to 1200. It doesn't cost that much to do anymore. I done that with my Sportster Custom. but the 883 isn't slow either it will move, but its not too much power for a beginner rider. Always take the riders safety course also. It will teach u to keep the rubber on the ground and the shinny side up. |
