Im looking to buy a nice sports motorcycle... i only have 10 thousand dollars, and i want a fast and loud sport |
i wants a fast and loud sports bike.. what do you recommend for under 10 thousand dollars? Any of the current crop of 600s is very fast and can be made very loud and can be had for under 10K. If you want your bike really loud, get a full race system by either Devil or D&D. Both these systems are insanely loud and can easily be hear from 3-4 blocks away under light to moderate acceleration. As the pipe/tuning will add about $1,500, you may have to go with an '05 or '06. You may be able to get an 07 + pipe if you wait until the 08s start hitting the showroom floors... if they still have any 07s. You can get a yamaha R6 for around 10 grand a new rc51 for 9200 slap some sato cans on it and blast away Yamaha FZ1 If you are really into sound, check out the pre 2002 Honda VFR's. When you add an aftermarket slip on, they sound like a race car with a sick, high-pitched mechanical whine and induction noise thrown in at high RPM. It's the only V4 sports bike on the market, and pre 2002 have the gear-driven cams which add that frenetic mechanical whine that causes you to lose control of your wrist. If you want a Vtwin, go with the RC51! If you are more into insane hp/weight ratio, you gotta go with an inline 4 and suffer the bland noise. Check out this clip: http://youtube.com/watch?v=drmgjndfwxe... Actually, the new VFR sounds great, too! http://youtube.com/watch?v=nmfpg1gpn0q... I'm not sure which year this it, but this bike sounds great. And the rider is probably insane. http://youtube.com/watch?v=p4jgejwdh-s... i would look at Yamaha R1 or a buelle i would seriously consider working your way up. both so that you can learn to ride, and so that you can learn exactly what bike you really want. start with an older, smaller cc bike that you can drop and bang up all you want, and then after riding it for a while you'll know what you want that it doesn't have. upgrade (more cc's, more cylinders) and then after a while on that you'll have an even better idea of what you want, plus a bit of experience so that you don't dump your $10,000 investment all over the pavement. then buy your big bike--by that time you'll know which one you want. trust me. or you can just spend all your money now and realize later you wish you had gotten something else. |
