Walking, Running, or Bicycling? |
I want to lose some weights. Which sport is better to burn more calories? Thanks. The key to losing weight is to burn the most calories. Walking, running, and bicycling all burn calories. Of course, they burn calories at a different rate. This means that if you want to exercise for a set amount of time every day, then clearly running will burn more in the same amount of time. However, here's the real key. If you can only run for 20 minutes at a time, but you could bike for 1.5 hours, you can burn more total calories by riding the bike. And burning total calories is really what you're after. My experience is that if you really want to lose weight, your workouts must last 45 to 60 minutes. so you really need to pick an activity that you can do for that long. Running burns more, then cycling. Swimming. running is the best exercise Running burns more calories than just about any other form of exercise; even at a slow pace it burns an average of 4.2 calories per hour for ever 450g/1lb of bodyweight.
