How dangerous is Motor biking as a sport- are there many fatalities? The problem with motorcycling as a sport is that it is full of crap wannabe's who can't ride for toffee. They tend to fall off and hurt themselves in a big way, or cause better more experienced riders to fall off. Just because they have money and can afford a good bike does not mean they can ride fast. You very rarely see the best riders hurt themselves too badly and they fall off pretty regularly due to pushing really hard. These kind of accidents tend to be very different as usually the front goes and all that happens is a bit of a slide into the gravel traps. very dangerous and yes many fatalities. even with helmets & protective gear, it is still a dangerous sport although i haven't heard of any fatalities that occurred! have been quite a few very nasty accidents on the Isle of Man TT races I am a biker since last 23 years. I have had my share of falls. If you want to be a biker be ready for falls. Its inevitable. Helmets are a must. But bones get shattered no matter what you wear. As regards fatalities, it depends on what vehicle is behind you when you fall. And if you do survive, the cost of repairing the bike is quiet high. But all said and done, there is no thrill like the thrill of motorbike riding. |
