Is it okay to go on a harley hog ride on a suzuki Vstrom? |
I am a member of our local hog group, i own 2 harleys, but i would also like to use my suzuki Vstrom, scince i want to take videos of the rides , and want to keep the vibration down to a minimum. Personly i dont see the problem, but how do you think other hog members would veiw it, we somtimes have other makes , that look like harleys, but this would be the 1st time somone would want to use a bike that looks like a big ugly sport bike. The Vstrom is a fugly bike . If you weren't a member already, or they didn't know you, I would recommend against it. You are already a member, and you own your own harleys, so what should they care what you ride. If anyone gets too excited about it, you can remind them how insecure they must be of themselves and their bikes. If they still give you a hard time, then why are you bothering to ride with them in the first place? Why don't you ask the members of your HOG? They might tease you a bit, but when they see the parts actually stay on your Suz, they'll shut right up :-)) I don't think they'd care. I wouldn't advise it...you will be called a sissy (or worse) on all your video. A few years back ,one of my friends used to take my Honda XL600 on poker runs with us . We made a joke of it by putting Harley stickers and a bell on it. Got a few laughs. Even funnier was those who wanted to know what kind of Harley it was. If your man enough to ride a rice burner in the middle of a group of real bikes. Then your man enough to laugh when they do. Carry a small bag of rice with you, and tell them you brought extra fuel ! LOL If you have 2 Harleys, then why take a non-Harley? Save the Vstrom for your "real" riding and the Hogs for posing with your Harley buds and generally slowing down any traffic behind you. If you are so insecure with yourself that you feel a need to come to Y/A for an answer concerning a group of riders that you currently ride with, then I would suggest that you stay at home. |
