Honda offroad dirtbikes? |
so they have the crf250x and the crf230f. I noticed the 230 is considerably cheaper, is this a case where i will get what i pay for? I'm considering these for an offroad bike, then later convert to a dual sport bike. Does the 230 take less oil changes/maintence? the crf250x is a high performance bike and the 230 is a trail bike, the 250 will require more upkeep because being high performance engine parts wear faster than on a trail bike plus the 250 is watercooled, that's an extra maintenance issue. The 230 is air cooled and requires less maintenance. I'm not saying neglect it, it just doesn't need as much as the 250. Source(s): the 250 is more expensive because it's a race bike, offroad, enduro. No.they all require the same amount of preventive maintenance if you want them to last awhile. these bikes are two totally different animals; yes, the 250x is a much higher performance machine, sits much taller, and will require maintainence more often; it depends on your skill & experience level to decide which would be more appropriate for you the 230 is a girls bike compaired to the crf250x the 230 is the old xr line of bikes they just adapted to the crf name in 2004 because they will no longer be making 2 stroke motorcycles next year at honda the crf250x is for someone who wants to go moto cross racing not for joy riding |
