700$ What to do with it? |
I was supposed to recieve a new Hd-tv as a gift from my dad here in a few days but I'm starting to reconsider. I have a 360 which was alot of the reason I was wanting one but I'm wondering if I should put it to better uses besides a new television. I have no job right now and I'm desperately looking for one to last me until I start nursing school in january. I have wanted a ducati for the longest so I was thinking it could make a nice down payment on an older sports bike or something. Then again I could invest it into some kind of a stock and let it make money for me? I have also wanted a kayak for a while now and I live in a great spot for the sport and 700$ would let me pick up that brand new Dagger kayak in a heart-beat. I don't see the point of just putting it in the bank because it would just sit there and do nothing for me. My old tv is a P.O.S. but i'm thinking it would be a better investment of my time than to just sit around and play xbox until college. Thanks much people. put it in a 6 month cd and earn interest on it. Don't waste it on a toy. You are choosing between a toy and a pragmatic use. Definately go pragmatic. 700 really isn't much so just put it into a savings account and hold on to it, you will definately NEED it at some point so save it so you have it. Don't waste money. invest in stock I would go for the kayak. That will give you something that money sitting in an account could never do, that would be memories of a great summer! Also you can't kayak all the time, why not work a little this summer too and save that. |
