Im thinking about getting a Buell motorcycle i would like to know if they are good motorcycles or not.?

i like the concept of a V twin sport bike are there other companies that make a sport V twin? i know that Honda makes the RC51 are there any others?

You have gotten most of the answers here. The coolest V-Twin sport bikes I know of come from Ducati. The Monster S4Rs would be a great one to start with, and on the top of my list. Next on my list would be the Honda RC51, followed by the Suzuki SV1000. After that would probably be a Buell. I usually rate bikes based on performance, then for its uniqueness and character.

If you are just learning to ride, I would look at the Ducati 620, or the Suzuki SV650.

Course, you'd get a few creds with the Harley crowd for riding the Buell.
The Honda SuperHawk is also V twin. I like the Buells, they are good bikes.
I have a '72 Honda CB450, one of the first V twins made.
I LOVE the RC51, I plan to get another as soon as I can afford it again.

I had a friend with a BUELL lightning, it was a VERY fun bike to drive. I would consider one.

Best to go drive one and see if you like it, though.

Someday....SOMEDAY - I will have a garage full RC51, Buell, and Ducati bikes!! I love the v twins!
There's the Suzuki SV600 and 1000 too. But they're not like a Buell.

Everyone I know who has a Buell loves it. I wouldn't want one myself, but if that's the type of bike you want, there isn't anything like a Buell except a Buell! They do look like they'd be a blast to ride!
Buells have a reputation as good quality, agile bikes. They incorporate several innovative features in their design... disc brakes mounted on the outer of the rims, fuel tank in the frame, oil in the swingarm and low exhaust lowering centre of gravity.

Heaps of torque and good cornering are big positives too.

I would personally love to own onebut was put off by their small size. If you're a lanky rider you might fing them too small for you.

I have a Yamaha MT-01 1700cc V Twin... not quite a "sports" bike but still sporty and suited to lugging me around.
The bike is good, it's the motor that sucks. HD motors aren't exactly the most reliable or technologically advanced pieces of work. :)

If you like sporty V-twins, I'd suggest looking at the SV1000S, the RC51, VFR. They're much better choices as they're more current and reliable, for your money. Also depends on your skill level. Some of these bikes such as the RC51 require expert hands.

Ride Safe!
